Just emailed with Current and their response to my question about All-in-One:

The current version is not "reef-ready", nor has any filtration built into the aquarium. At this time, we cannot comment on if there will be any of these features available in future models.

That's odd that they would take all the features out of the tank and release it as something new. With the right minimalist overflow system though, it could be a sweet looking tank.

Mike you are absolutely right, I am perplexed as well because it is the best all in one on the market in my opinion. The only way I could see making it better like you said is to put an overflow on it. Heck drill it and make an external overflow on it and it would be a great reef ready nano tank.

Looks like regular glass, starfire is supposed to be clear all around the edges look pretty green to me. I guess it could be the picture but that's how it looks to me. I also see a return in the pic on the right..dual locline. It would have to be reef ready otherwise why would they have that? I agree with chief it's like a stupid beta tank if it's just glass. I'm pretty sure they know how successful their line already is and for them to just stop making them would be stupid. IF they made even some just plain tanks I think they wouldn't sell many of them because it would have no purpose. I doubt you could even hang a filter on that thin glass.

From Current when I asked why no AIO or any kind of filtration:

The photo on our web page does show a Solana Aquarium as a reef system - many nano-reef hobbyists simply use our SubCurrent filter which has a dual outlet nozzle (as pictured.) In addition, many hobbyists are moving towards using canister filters and performing frequent water changes. The new Solana Aquarium is designed for both freshwater and marine hobbyists who want a simpler approach to aquarium keeping.

We will be releasing many new aquarium products this year, but as a general rule, we cannot provide any details or timelines on these new products.

Tough crowd. As long as the tank comes with non-tempered glass, I think it'd be a great tank.
I know there are many people (myself included) who wanted to remove the plastic sump are and drill the solana anyway.
