AI Sol White

Hello,

Was wondering if one AI Sol White module will light a 40g breeder mixed reef. I know they pack some punch when it comes to light so if its hung over the tank will it give enough PAR. Tank is only 16" tall.

Also, not sure if any one has come across these at OC reef, but they look good and use Cree LEDS. Let me know what you think.

I don't think you would get enough spread to cover a 40 breeder off one unit unless it was hung pretty high, then you lose a lot of par.

I have a 50b, same footprint just a little taller. AI told me 2 Sols over it so that's what I have.

They cover a 24 x 24 area when they are 12 inches off the tank.

Youd have some crazy dark spots with 1

How long is the tank? They have some sort of calculator on their website. I have to agree with the others; highly unlikely. I was thinking of using them on an 18 inch cube and even for that, it seemed marginal.
