Tek Light 39w x 4 or 6 bulb unit??

Hello,

I'm setting up a 40g breeder and I'm planning on using a TEK light 4 or 6 bulb - 39w unit with new ATI bulbs. I wanted to know two things...

First should I go with the 4 bulb or 6 bulb fixture since tank is only 16" tall and 18" wide? Tank is going to be mixed with maybe some Millis, Digis, and Caps on top end of rock. Also, what is the best color combos to go with? I will of course reserve a spot for a Purple bulb for color pop.

6 bulbs for 40 breeder and from front to back here is the order:
ATI Blue Plus
ATI Purple Plus
ATI Blue Plus
ATI Aquablue Special
ATI Blue Plus
ATI Blue Plus

since its a 16 inch tank u could get away with the 4 bulb and save some money but if not 6 will be great as well if u have the little extra cash.. my old light combo
