B. I have never owned that model. I do run a few other BM skimmers, and they work great at an affordable price. The company seems to make effective skimmers.

There are lots of complaints regarding reliability, restart, and noise issues. That's good yours has been going for 2 years strong. They are typically cheap to replace though, which is definitely a plus.

I'm not sure how you feel about HOB's, but this is an excellent skimmer:

It's essentially a Warner Marine H1 (just re-labeled)

I have no problem with hang on back skimmers but I am not too keen on placing that amount of weight on a rimless tank. I don't want the vibration and weight to affect the seals and cause a larger problem.

I dont think the bm will fit in the skimmer compartment. From what I understand the entire unit hangs inside the tank.
