Tek 8 bulb

Hey guys got a question, i just picked up a used tek 8 bulb fixture. after putting bulbs in it and turning it on the first 2 bulbs dont tur n on all they do is blink. i opened it up checked the wiring, everything looks good. the structure only has 2 ballasts, which im assuming is the problem. anyone have any other input?

Have you tried to turn the bulbs just a little to see if they turn on?

Thats the problem with used equipment hopefully the guy will take it back!!

yeah i messed with it for 4 hours last night. opened it up changed bulbs moved the connectors the bulbs plug into the hole 9 yards, i was just hopeing it wasnt the ballast. :smash:

i got a really smokin deal on the structure, if i have to get a new ballast itll still be worth it

I also have a tek 8 bulb 36" tho. Had that problem with two bulbs also. All i I did was remove the bulbs and scrape the contacts off end of the bulbs. Turned right on. sometimes salt creep will get in there. Also check contacts on fixture side clean them off.
