I have seen them in person and wouldn't advise them for a reef. They really aren't very strong.

For a fish only I bet they would be fine but then again 700 for lights on a fish only tank sounds foolish.

They Just don't have the penetration capabilities seen in other brands


I would only consider them on shallow tanks and even then I would probably pass.

Only if you are doing FOWLR.

The PAR at 24"(that is your tank being 20" and the light is about4" above) is only 64 meaning you cannot even sustain LPS. They are OK with FW planted tank for low-mid lighting plants.

BTW what's the dimension of you tank and what are you keeping there?

Thanks guys! Figured it was to good to be true.;)

Wingo, 72" X 24" X 24" although the sides are only 18". It's a mix reef, leathers, shroom, lps, a couple sps, clam.

BTW, this is there claim for the reef model:
For the 36" to 48" Model

# of 10,000k
(white) (1 watt)LED
is 36

# of 460nm (blue) (1watt) LEDs
is 6

and Lumens Lamp only is 2610
