Hi there,
I need some advice as to which replacement water pump I should get.

I don't think there is enough water flow in my tank, because I have air bubble build up in the eShopps PF-300 overflow U tube. I currently have to purge the bubble ever few days. The PF-300 was supposed to be rated for only 300 gph max. I currently have it paired up with an Eheim Hobby 1250 pump. It's rated at 320 gph with a max head of 6.5 feet. From the bottom of my 20 gal sump to the top of my 72 gal tank is no more than 5 feet. Based on the specs, I m not sure why there isn't enough flow to push out the air bubbles trapped in the U tube by itself.

I know drilling a tank will be more ideal, but I already have the tank up and running with livestock. I don't have any power heads that are making micro bubbles and the water return line is connected to the Eheim water return tube which is submerged underwater (

In addition, is it possible to use a single pump to return water efficiently to the main tank and also feed water to 2 x daisy chained Phosban 150 reactors (req 100-230gph)? (Maybe with the using of a splitter and ball valve). If it is possible what gph rated pump will I need? I figured if I m going to need a beefier pump, mind as well reduce the # of pumps and energy cost.

Thanks in advance.
