Just the outlet, or the entire body of the powerhead?

If just the outlet, you can just find the right size pipe for the diameter. But if you want to make a housing for the RIO, I guess you just need to get a pvc pipe large enough, and use shimes make out of PVC scraps piece to make it secure inside the pipe.... will that work for you?

Lame question on my part. I just went for it and used the normal PVC pipe solvent to join the slip fittings to the pump itself. I've always used the marine land flexible tubing and their valves / disconnects. I figured it was time to switch to standard PVC fittings. I'm on my way now.

I don't know how well does the PVC solvent works on the pump.

For connection between powerhead and hard PVC pipe, I usually, FWIW, attatch flexible tubing on the powerhead, clamp it with a nylon ring clamp, and attach the flexible tubing to the PVC pipe with a barbed connector.
