open brain question

Im new to this so sorry if its a stupid question. I have had my open brain for about 11 months and its been great. yesterday and today it seems to be not so happy. Lately it seems to look to me like its maybe splitting is this possible for a brain? I know other corals sometimes seem to close up before the split then reopen as 2 . Its not closed up as much as its not bulged out and full as it usually is . Looking for alittle advice.

chuck - they can reproduce, but, might be something esle - what about tank parameters? and any new fish? pygmy angels?

No new fish tank up and running three years 200 total gallons parameters that I am able to check are in check, within specs. very understocked tank total of 7 fish. 1 bubble tip anenone and 1 spiney black eurchin.
