Dying Green Bulb anenome??

I have a anenome for about two months - this morning, she is complete limp and and my clown is picking at it.

Is it dead?

If so what is the best way to remove it as it looks like it is still attached to the rock?

How are the water parameters? I think the salt level may be too high!

Do you have a picture of it? From time to time BTA deflates themself and go back to normal. I say that if its foot is still attached to the rock it's still alive.

1023 - nitrate, phostphate, alk, nitrite amonia are all withing good levels.

If the foot is attached, it is most likely alive. You might be pleasantly surprised tomorrow morning (or the next day) and find two GBTA. When they split, they sometimes look deflated and close to death.

It is attached to the rock, the green tips are still bright but deflated.

I'll do a small water change and hope for a morning surprise.

BTW I wouldn't do a water change because you can shock him even more. Just wait a day or two.

BUT, we also have:

Dieing =

c.one of the separate pieces of such a device.

d.a steel block or plate with small conical holes through which wire, plastic rods, etc., are drawn.

So in answer to your question, yes, we have dieing as a word, as well as dying AND dyeing.

Dying..dyeing..dieing - either way your guys were helpful - I did a 20% wc and the aneome seemed to perk up.
