I use tank water myself
sounds like they are eating but zoos dont normaly need to be spot fed like that altho will help them get bigger and grow you are adding more food to the tank than needed

Zach, zoas don't need to be spot fed. My concern for you would be the extra food in your tank potentially fouling your water.
Zoas primarily 'eat' from light, but will also eat whatever they find tasty in the water column..that being the things that are floating around in your water sometimes things that are often too small for you to see.

Not sure how much you are using ('good amount"?), but the directions suggest 1/4 teaspoon per 20g/daily..IMO that is WAY too much to add to your tank on a daily basis. Did you notice that the bubbles died down in your skimmer? You might want to try that amount on a weekly basis, but I truly wouldn't suggest more often that that :)

..oh, and use regular SW to mix it with..and no need to squirt it (they can close up just from the sudden movement of the water when squirting food around them), just turn off your pumps for a few minutes after you add it, but don't forget to turn them back on!!!!
