poci's grow branches very close together, as they grow they require more and more flow. IME, If flow is lacking, they can grow to a point where the branches in the middle are not getting enough flow and start dying off.

i didn't move it up or down in the tank just to a better flowing spot
want to see how it works out there
wes i see what your saying, the spot that was dying off ,seemed it did lack flow
the other side of it is healthy
i really hate to lose it. it's a real nice piece

If your alk is 2.8 is way to low I had the same problem with my corals and Alex from AE told me that it could be the alk.He did a watter test and he was right alk was 3.8,I bought the buffer kit from him and bualaaa my corals stared to come back to life well those that were not completely death so if I was you I will deal with the alk.I am not an expert I am a newbee but I had the same problem.

his kH is 8 which is fine.

the 2.8 sounds like a mg/L measurement

Are any other SPS dying? Is it just the one coral?

It's not temperature since that small difference wouldn't affect SPS. Above 85 degrees is the danger/dying zone.

If it is just the one coral, then like Wes said it probably is flow.
