trumpet coral need a little help

hi all i noticed that my trumpet had a small tear on top and now a few days later it looks like green hair alge is growing out of it ? Is this a problem and if so what can i do to correct the problem??

It is definitely a problem. The hair algae will kill the coral if allowed to grow on its skeleton.

thanks Deanos what would be the best solution for this problem and why did this happen? Is it something i did or something with the water param. all looks good so far
