Feeding Corals

I know xenia, zoo's and kenya trees dont need feeding, however some research has shown feeding them once a week can help with their growth. Is this true, and if so what can I feed them, phytoplankton. I bought frozen reef plankton, but they look too big for my corals. Any suggestions?

feed your fish stay away from any liquid coral food it will diminish water quality
