torch moved - will it come back?

...so i had my little two-head torch in the hole right next to the mat of green star polyps (see second shot)

it was doing great until i noticed the day before yesterday that the head closest to the polyps was half retracted.

i moved it, but as you can see from the first pic, the head that was touching the polyps is still retracted. i can see polyp tips way down in the skeleton. Is there any chance it's not dead? Did I kill my torch? Advice, please!

chances r slim but it can grow back. with good water condition and time, the healthy head can regenerate new heads and mutiply.
i have a 2 head frag turn into 7 heads in a year.

The head that is showing the skeleton will soon be a goner....

If its not too badly damaged, it can grow back, but it'll never be the same as it originally was.

CRY! I am so sad. sigh. i thought torch was aggressive. I feel terrible!!!! sigh.

now i want to rip up that mat of green star polyp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
