Where to get Frag Plugs

I am in need of frag plugs. I would like some that do not need curing. I have been searching here for like an hour and cannot find what I am looking for. Where do you get your plugs from. As usual i am trying to keep them as cheap as possible.

i got some ceramic ones from http://www.thefilterguys.biz/

if you want some really low cost ones then get a box of large plastic anchors,
once they encrust over the plastic it looks like the same thing. plus the platic anchors
are much easier to cut off than the ceramic or cement ones.

Will the Plastic Anchors accept glue and or epoxy? I know some plastics won't let much of anything stick to them.

Its really funny that you mentioned that. I actually was looking at them in Home Depot. You can get grey ones so that the color i a litle better for tank. But the only thing that pushed me away was the hold for the screw. Might have to use more glue to hold something, and then at that point you have to see what is more cost effective, more glue or more expensive plugs.

I've seen people use them with the gel super glues.
I think if your careful with the glue it should not take more than usual.
And if the anchor is large enough maybe you can put the frag inside it?

as a side note you can use a sheet of plastic and just drill holes in it to hold the anchors.
I think that is more effective than the eggcrate method, it takes a bit more time, but you can make all kinds of holders then.

For the BAF ones (cured agrocrete now, ceramic ones will be available in Feb in addition) you can get them at Fishtown in NJ, Aquatic Visions, In Living Color. Online you could do Marine Depot, Premium Aquatics or That Fish Place. There are other stores in NY, PA & CT that carry the product, but those are probably closest.

Thanks for the input guys. I will have to look into it.

I was also thinking of this,,, not sure it if will work though.

Getting the screw shields like jhale said. then using HOT GLUE to just close the hole in the top. Cause if you get the SHEETROCK ones, the base is actually much bigger. Just not sure if gel will hold to hot glue, I will have to test it out today!
