I bought my first Ricordia yesterday (Ricordia florida). It did not come attached to a little rock. My question is how do I get it to attach to a piece of rubble and how long does it usually take? Also, should I feed it like my anemone or will it do its own thing like my Discoma shrooms?

Did it come with any little bits of sand or rubble on it's foot? If so, you want to carefully (very little) glue only the 'bits' of sand onto a larger piece of rubble and immediately place it in a conatiner of water to cool off. They are very sensative to glue burn.
If it has nothing attached to it's foot, you'll need to place it into a small vessel (I cut off the bottom portion of a plastic cup about 1/2" high) with some larger sized sand grains or fine rubble, and place it into a low flow area and let it attach on it's own. Then you can glue it to a larger piece ..see above.

They like a feeding of small food like cyclopeeze or to be 'dusted' with the 'juice' left in your baster.. if you are spot feeding mysis to other corals.

Best of luck with it!
..and how is Alex doing today??:meow:

He's got nothing on his foot. I have some rubble that I can crush up into smaller pieces and will put it in the plastic cup like you suggest.

Alex is feeling a little better each day. It's going to take him a while gain back all the weight he lost. His appetite seems to be returing, but I still give him ham at least once a day (he's having some now). :catsmiley
