I read awhile back a thread on acclimating new corals using pieces a nylon screening.
i've been doing this but I'm not sure if I'm doing it correct.
I have a thin strip of eggcrate that spans accross top brace. On that I secure 2 small squares of screening.I remove 1 piece after one full day then next piece after following full day and then remove eggcrate after third full day.
Does this sound like enough time before new coral(mostly acros) is blasted with full light?I'm running 2 (250watt 12k MH) w/luminarc reflectors on a 120g.
I recently purchased a few nice pieces and would hate to have them bleach out.
thanks.

No need to use screens.
If they came from a tank that has less light than yours, just place them low in your tank.
Every week you can start raising them up to a higher position in your tank (if that is where you want them).

I can't really place them low.Not much real estate left.I'm pretty sure I have more light than the tank it came from.
I'll have to that thread a read.
Right now I have to take the kids trick or treating...Before the wife kills me...
