They can do it via sexual reproduction (I've had specimens broadcast eggs and semen) or asexually via budding. They can form little buds anywhere on its disk which will develop it's own skeleton base before it breaks off. I've seen some specimens that bud prolifically (you'll see several new buds at any given time), but then most never do this.
