Best lighting system for 300 Gallon prop tank?

I am going to puchase a 300 gallon rubbermaid stock tank for propagation of coral. Anyone have an opinion on the best type lighting or wattage for this tank?

It all depends on what coral you'd like to grow and how close to the tank you want to mount the lights. please provide more details and we'll all be able to help you better.

I would start with 2X250 watt 10 or 12 or 14k mh bulbs in good reflectors.
I would use Lumenarc L-3's for their spread.

friend used this type of RM tub for the same purpose and after using several different set ups, he settled with 4 lumenarcs with 175 watt MH fairly close to the water. He left the periphery without rock or corals. I am sure if you raise it some you can light up the entire things pretty well. The good thing is they are pretty shallow, so you can use the 175 watters and get good growth.
