I've decided to start with a 50gal livestock tank with possibly adding on in the future. What pump recommendation and what size bulkheads. At least to start my first one. tia

The rubbermaid 50 gal troughs come with a bulkhead already installed. All you have to do is to screw a pvc fitting in there and you're set.

What do you plan to propagate?

Well, the big thing you want is water *volume* flow and not velocity. Too much velocity and you'll blow the flesh off of certain species. I'd say if you used something between a Mag7 to a Mag12 and put the output of those pumps into multiple outputs you'd be set.
