Feeding Sun Coral

I just got this Sun Coral today from Deepwater :tongue1::thanks: and it open up right away during my normal fish feed time so since they are out I feed it a couple bits of grocery shrimps.

Do I need to feed each individual poly separately or couple of poly in each colony since that the colony is attached together?

feed one by one ,,,,BTW they look sweet ,,try to feed brine mysis shrimp the with a target feeder

youre using shrimp from the store !! thts one of your phosphate problems

OI why not grocery shrimp. i mix it with flakes and cyclopeeze, everyone loves it

planning to get a turkey blaster tomorrow.

I have black and orange Sun Corals (The orgin of these corals are from Deep only). I feed them mysis shrimp alternative days with turkey blaster to individual poly.

My orange sun corals (also from Deep), get fed mysis,cyclop-eeze,
formula 1, oyster eggs.....and they open up all day!!!

i use shrimps from supermarket too to feed my anenmone, if thats a problem, what should i feed them?

alfani a good way to feed them and make sure that all the heads get a bit of food is to target feed with the following contraption:

take a 2 liter soda bottle and cut it in half. take the part with the opening and attach a hose to it,so that you can use a turkey baster to blow food down the hose.glue on several marbles or like item to the cut part so that it can be weighted down.then place the feeder over the colony and blow mysis and cyclops down the hose.this allows the colony to feed without being disturbed byfish trying to get a meal.once they have fed take it off and whats left over will be eaten by the other reef inhabitants.

saw an old friend do this and it works great.you could also use an acrylic cylinder.
