use Lugol's iodine in the freshwater - dip then in that. Be sure and use RODI water and heat it to match the temperature of your tank.

What reason are you dipping them?

If for Nudi's:
use 3 gallons Ro/di water
5 to 6 drops of Lugols solution
set PH at 8.2 (easiest way to do this is by using Proper PH 8.2..takes all the guess work out..)
Temp 78 degrees.
Leave zoa in this solution for 5 minutes and then hold upside down and swish it back and forth.
Place back in tank.

You can also add FWE to this solution and kill 2 birds at once!

Nudi eggs will NOT come off using a dip..those you have to visually inspect for and scrape off manually (but gently..). Here is a pic of Nudi eggs.

The best thing to do is an iodine dip so you won't have be concerned about Nudis & I also use the Flat Worm Exit since they can be done together...why take the chance?

A FW dip (which isn't FW and IMO really ought to be renamed..) can't give you the peace of mind you can get doing the iodine/FWE dip.

Not the same iodine...you want either the real Lugols Iodine or the Kent Iodine. If you use the Kent you have to adjust the dose from what I posted above, the info on the Kent usage is in the link below.

I'm not sure if the info is here on MR (and don't like to send folks to Reef Central but the biggest info is over there..read it ALL as some of the instructions change further down the posts..it's a long read..).
Take a look at this link:

Just to add that flatworm exit is good to add as it kills them almost instantly.
