When I first got this with some LR I bought, I thought it was a sponge, about a month later I noticed it had some PE. I asked all over and could not get anywhere's near a positive I.D. It definately has a skeleton which has grown out about double it's size and about 3/16" in thickness in approximately a year. It is brown with a hint of blue irridescense to it. Could it be Porites?
Last year,

In this pic the polyps are not fully open.

Even though mine is a plain brown, it's one of 3 hitch hiking corals I have, and they are my absolute favorites, this was my first. I also have a small patch of transparent brown polyps w/green centers, the polyps are much longer than this piece, the last one seems to be some bright red blastos (?). I'm not usually lucky enought to get good hitch hikers.

Yes. the first pic was when it first started to extend it's polyps, Sort of when it was in it's infancy. When I first noticed the piece it was a very smooth flat piece of brown tissue, I thought it might have been what I've seen called a Chicken Liver Sponge. After it was in my tank about a month I noticed the polyps, that is when the pic was taken. The second pic was taken in the last few days. The size of the coral in the first pic is about 1/2", in the second pic, it is about 3/4"x 1 1/2".
