well my levels are

alkalinity - 9.6
calcium - 420
magnesium - 1350
temp 78-79
ph - 8.2
salinity - 1.026
nitrates - below 5
phosphates - havent tested but i have been running phosphate material for a 300gallon tank since day 1...

so i would guess them levels have something to do with it ....
