I have a few head of candy cane who started to bleach.
Not enough light? I have 4 T5 for the moment, (should have 6), two stop working, false contact I bet, but my husband who takes care of all the technical side of the hobby (light, skimmer, pump) is not around and I didn't manage to start them back.
Is it really the reason?

What are the tanks water parameters? How long have you had them and what lighting did they come from? How high are your nitrates and phosphates, alk and calcium levels?

Ok water is too hot, I just checked it's 85 and it's never that hot usually, the salinity is as usual 1.024, ( I have a huge evaporation in this tank and even if I add make up water or do water changes with low salt the salinity is never 1.021, which I have in the fish tank).
No nitrate, don't know about phosphates, alk and calcium levels, will have to try to check that tonight.
The candy cane grew and are eating well at night, I have them since november, december don't remember exactly, I got them from Olivier.
Sorry I will seem completly dumb but has I say we are two on this hobby and the lights, skimer and pumps are my husband domaine.
I know we have actinic and T5, I know that both tank have a lot lighting and it's all a mix of bulb well studied by my husband, they are blue light in each tank and all the bulb seems to give a different lighting, he made his mix and I don't know about it.
To parameter which changed are the light and temperature (have to check my heater, don't know why it's so hot with less lighting).
Thanks
