Have just started to add some corals to a 90 gal tank. How does one prevent a tall coral from tipping over. Is there an epoxy that can be used to attach a small rock base to a larger underlying rock?

Cyanoacrylate gel is what you need to look for, Zap, Crazy Glue and many more. I guess Crazy glue gel is the most well known tho.

Do what i do, i just hold it there until it decides to attach. I may take a week or two.LOL J/K . Welcome to MR, we tend to joke around occasionally but take the advice we give seriously. I like IC gel which is a SuperGlue. i't works great..

I like the epoxy that you can buy. It comes in a tube that has the center filled with one chemical and the outter ring as the other. YOu mix it up and it starts to get hot and harden. That is when you use it to wedge your rock and what not where yo uneed it. It will cure underwater if you buy the proper kind.

if you go to a petstore that sells salt water stuff, there are two 9 inch tubes on the market. a grey one, and a green one. I've find the green one works better. It puddy you just kneed and stick to the rock or plug and then press onto the rock you want to attach to under water.

Also their are reefplugs, which you can glue the frag onto and then stick into a hole or crevice in the rock.
