Tips on migrating frags to live rock???

Anyone have tips? Some of my frags, war coral, small unknown brain, zoas, are reaching the full diameter of their plug. What's the best way to get them to grow onto a rock? Simply butt them against it?

Or you can try removing them from the plug and put them directly on the rock

Cut the nub/nipple off the plug and glue the disc of the plug right to rock

On my live rock I take a drill and drill a hole the size of the end of the plug and then place plugs wherever I want on the live rock. However, my crabs and fish like to bother new additions, so I end up having to put a little glue on the end where they are placed.

Like the loctite stuff? I can never get my stuff to stick underwater lol

Yes, the gel kind d. It can be locktite, crazy glue or a no name brand, as long as its the gel kind

Nope, just work fast....as soon as the blob of glue hits water it forms a skin...but if you pop that skin as you place the frag on the rock work it it ooze out and help you frag stick. Also...turn of all your pumps and power heads for 10 mins till the glue hardens.

If you get the loc tight get the control top. It is nice and easy to apply without going crazy with too much glue pouring out of the tube.
