I recently bought some rock with mushroom corals on it (about 3 weeks ago.) Since that time, this extra coral has started to grow. I didn't buy the rock for this, it was bought for the blue mushrooms, but this anemone type coral is, what I am hoping, an added benefit!? The downside is that is it competing for light and space on the rock agaist the mushrooms, and winning. Please help me identify. If it is desired, what kind of flow, food, etc... Thanks for the help!

I am posting some more pictures of this coral. I am hoping it's not aiptasia. Since it has progressed within just the three weeks, I have a hunch it's unwanted. Thanks again for the help!

good news = it IS NOT AIPSTIA :)

I THINK it is hairy mushrooms, but to be honest, I'm not entirely sure. Kinda odd looking stuff there.

They really don't need feeding and should adapt to various flows. If you don't want it to compete with the other mushrooms, chisel the ones off that are up against thew others. There are plenty of people who would be willing to trade you another nice frag for one of these.
