I removed the rock and thought he was gone. But I still keep finding stalks that have been chewed up. Any idea if I might have more of these and what I can do about it?

Thanks,
Jeff

I can't really tell from that picture but it looks like a genus and species of Sipunculida (peanut worm) a harmless detrivore.

David,
There is a section in the middle that looks segmented, but it's very hard to tell what it is. My first guess was standard bristleworm, but if so it is much more pale and pink than any I have seen.

Is there any way you can get more shots of the critter? More shots where the Xenia is getting munched?

I observed the same (or possibly another) worm last night chewing on another stalk. Doesn't like light (seems to feed at night) and is very fast at returning to a hole. He's translucent. In fact, I could see pieces of my xenia going down his digestive tract after he ripped away the flesh.

I really want him GONE!!!

Any ideas?

I'll post more and hopefully better pics if possible.

Thanks,
Jeff
