Live rock Hitchhiker

i posted this over in general reef discussion .. but perhaps i should have posted it here .. so here goes
i've noticed these cute little critters popping up on my liverock .. i believe they are hydroids... but can't find a picture of any that look like mine .. here's a pic

It has 8 tentacles, so it is an octocoral. It resembles Pachyclavularia sp., but it could be something else similar to this. The positive identification of soft corals is very difficult to do. Further, taxonomists are not in agreement on how to classify and group most of these things.

Not harmful at all in your aquarium, whatever you want to call it
