Hi, i'm new to the hobby, and am about to set up a 90gallon AGA (48x18x24), and do not know where to begin with the live rock. i was thinking about getting 2x 45-50lb boxes, but i am not sure what to get and where to get it from. i am more interested in getting large pieces with good porous shapes than getting a huge diversity of life,(but thats always nice too) and as i am a college student, i am on a rather tight budget. im in no rush, any input will be helpful, Thanks.

Marine depot generally has good prices and ok live rock, sometimes they have sales or deals as well. If you're going to be particular about shape and choosing a good chunk, I suggest you shop around your local fish stores and see if anyone's got a good enough deal for you.

SOrry for the late post, but www.tampabaysaltwater.com has some kick butt aquacultured rock. alot on the expensicve side, but very cool. The problem with fiji rock is that they are mostly dead except for corraline growth. heard tbs rock has tons of life on them.
