I have a green Pachyseris and it's tough as nails although the guy at the LFS where I bought it said they were delicate (mind you,, he also swore it was a merulina sp.).
When my big carpet anemone decided to have a swim around the tank one night, this coral got stung endlessly for hours,, when I got to it the polyps were flaking off like sunburnt skin,,, but within 4 weeks or so it had fully recovered.
It also fell on a monti cap and suffered no ill effects,, the one inch area around where they touched was completely dead on the monti.
It loves to be close to the halides,, if I move it lower in the tank, the color fades.
Mine is a slow grower so I haven't fragged it yet,
Good luck!
