ok next question....Are these hard to get?? Because i never seen anything like this in my LFS.

I have some of those that hitched in on some of my Live Rock, they are huge now.

I thought palythoa were in the zoanthid family, but not zoanthid genus? Or is my memory of biology fading away?

Zigzag, my LFS carries palythoa button polyps
pretty frequently. I suppose you could ask your LFS to special order, or buy a frag from one of the sponsors. I'm told that these are very hardy and will take over your aquarium.

This frag is in my aquarium. It started out as one. So it does grow quite fast. Thanks for the info on it.

Arent most of the species of Palythoa being reclassified into the genus Protopalythoa wich is in the family Zoanthidae. So yes hdtran you are right about the family association.
