Hey I saw a bunch of these guys a few nights ago. They are red.

When they are under the sand they look kinda like redworms you feed bettas but a few nights ago they came out of the bed and were crawling around. These thing are have one body about 1 - 2 inches longs and their head splits into dozens of little bitty worms which is what you see in the daytime. Looks like a mudusa or something.

Sorry no pic

any ideas?

You know, I love threads titled like this. It's like when my Uncle Ronnie sends my dad some pecans from their trees, and Dad says, "Here, would you to try my nuts?"

Sorry.. my only ideas are regarding something like bristle/fireworms.

Heh.
You know what we're gonna tell you don't you. Without a pic it's impossible to say, however from your description this would be a Cirratulid polychaete and if I remember there are 2 common species we find in our tanks. These feed primarily on sediment particles and detritus.
ps these *are not* what are called commonly spaghetti worms.

Actually here's a link:

about 1/2 way down.
