what is this slug on my glass, it doesn't have a shell.

Pretty sure that's a Stomatella varia, the long antennae (?) and your description are a match for this species. These guys have a very small shell that you should be able to see.

Yup. They graze algae, and will reproduce quite prolifically. I'm looking at about 20 babies on the glass of my 12 gallon as I write this...

thanx matt, he was taking a ride on my powerhead and I put the magnifying glass to look at him. He looks to have some sort of shell. It looks like there is a red spot on it, is it his own color or is it some sort of algae?

It could be either. I think the 'varia' part of the name comes from these guys' variable colors. Here is a picture of one of mine with yellow flesh and a whitish shell. I also have some with a gray shell and brown foot.
