Before I ask my question please realize that I am a poor grad student who can't afford a digital camera, so I can't post a pic.
I looked at my aquarium this morning right after the actinic turned on and noticed a tiny crab on my Turbinaria reniformis. The light made him glow a neon green. He was by my estimation about 4 millimeters across the span of his legs, with a 3 millimeter wide carapace. He appeared fairly squat as well, with short legs and small claws up front. I know there are commensal crabs that live with Acropora and Pocillopora, are there any that live with non-branching corals? And if this is a parasite and not a commensal or even just a hitchhiker, does anyone have any idea how much of a pest he would be?
