I have a few of them in my rock. They are some kind of boring clam or oyster? I forget the exact name I'll look it up but I'm pretty sure it's some type of bivavle.

Looks like the attachment from a now-dislodged mussel or similar bi-valve. Is it really shiny & somewhat metallic looking? Exactly the same thing left behind when a mussel decided to relocate in my nano tank.
