These things came in on some Fern Caulerpa. They look like some sort of slug... when I carefully removed one from the basket with hemostats, it turns out it has a hard shell between the head and what appears to be the tail (more foot actually). I have a very small tank so I keep the caulerpa in a net breeding basket, so they are contained in there right now.

Perhaps a snail? Are they ok to let go in the main tank? Are they good for the sandbed? Are they evil? Will it kill the bad crab I have that I can't catch? Are they good with butter and garlic?

Thanks!
