Since buying a colony of green star polyps, I've noticed a small whitish crab hiding in the folds of the rock. Does anybody know what it is or if it is dangerous?
Looks fine to me. Kinda like an emerald crab, which may help you out with nusiance algae. I would make sure that it stays well fed though, because if it gets too hungry, it may find it's own dinner. Try to observe what it does when various foods float by.
Keep an eye on it, anyways.
Thanks for the info guys. I was a little worried when I saw the size of its claws in relation to his body. Ironically enough, I've not seen him since I took the photo, but I've not spent much time looking at the tank in the dark.
