Limpet or Chiton or Star or What?

When I cam ehome this afternoon and looked at my tank, I notice this guy on the back of the glass. He seems to almost starfish like in body shape (although I seriously doubt it is a star), but has what seems the indications of a shell starting in his center. Nothing new has been introduced to the tank in several months, so an offspring of something already there perhaps. This is the best pic I could get with my camera. Any ideas on what it might be? TIA

Shape matches a star. Best I can do with that pic. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I believe someone identified one of those in my tank as an Astroidea class star
