I recently bought some a rock that had a beatiful mushroom on it. About a week later it started to move and grew 2 antenea.

Is this is a wierd sort of amphipod? Harmfull to my reef? Looks kinda neat I would hate to remove it and later find thats it's harmless! Please see below !

I actually started that site for a friend. I was left holding the bag. So really, you tell me ! Thanks for the help though...

Yes, definitely a limpet. The mantle is covering the shell, giving it the snail-like appearance. The only concern I would have is that the limpet's powerful radula (rasping tongue) might scratch the tank, or damage the tank's silicon joints. My suggestion would be to just keep an eye on it. If it does need to be removed from the glass, I read a technique for removing abalone somewhere on this site that would probably work.
